At Business Workspaces, we enjoy getting to know our members. This month, we sat down with Cade Hines to learn about his business, CleanSpace Technologies. Continue reading to learn more:
Tell us about your company and what you do?
I work for CleanSpace Technology. The company is based out of Sydney, Australia but the products are sold across the globe. The company manufactures lightweight, comfortable, very innovative respirators. Most people think of a paint respirator that you buy at Home Depot with some cartridge filters hanging off the front of it so that you can paint your cabinets. What we provide is a battery-powered, very technically advanced version of a respirator that provides on-demand air. It purifies the air that you’re breathing so that what goes into your lungs is clean rather than breathing in the contaminants in whatever environment you might be working in. My role in that process, here in the United States, is customer engagement. I assist the customer in understanding our advanced technology and how our products can be beneficial to them. We do large-scale facility implementations, both in healthcare and industrial. I also serve on the backside for technical support in a global role.
What motivates you at work?
My kids keep me motivated because if I’m going to keep up with them, I better bring my A game each day. I’ve retired from being a Navy Pilot to now the second chapter of life here in the El Dorado Hills area to be near my wife’s family. I love spending time with my family and we spend a lot of time outdoors together.
What advice would you give to someone trying to enter your field of work?
My advice is to be passionate about your customers because ultimately this is a protective device, we offer them. We are in this business to protect individuals from going into their work that is inherently dangerous. Supporting the customer and being passionate about their well-being leads to their own health and benefit.
Aside from that, any conversation you’re having with someone that you’re trying to do business with you need to be the expert in whatever that conversation involves and present that information precisely and professionally.
Why did you choose Business Workspaces?
Remote work has become the new normal, which is totally different from the career that I had previously, were going to work was an absolute must every day. I knew I couldn’t work from home just because I needed quiet office space for focus and productivity. I looked for a place to work remotely at a few other places in the immediate area, but this is so close to so many great things in El Dorado Hills. I’m a 10-minute drive away from my house and my kids are doing activities in the nearby business plazas and parks. It is convenient, the services inside of the facility, whether that’s the cleanliness of the spaces, the reliability of things like the internet and phone, and also the 24/7 access to the building. The staff does a wonderful job to make for a comfortable experience for each and every member. It has been such a great experience here at Business Workspaces.
What is your favorite place to vacation?
I’m a water guy and I would add, even greater, criteria that my favorite part of the day is sunsets. I would like to be somewhere on a bank where the sunset happens over the water and anywhere that that’s happening is my favorite vacation place.
Can you please explain your Military Background?
I was an active-duty Navy pilot for a little over 20 years, and most of my time was spent just south of here in the Central Valley, just south of Fresno in an area called Lemoore Naval Air Station, where they fly FF-18s and F-35s. Those aircraft are the carrier-based fighter aircraft that have been deployed across the globe now for going on 25, 30 years.
I retired from that in 2020, turns out that that was a tough year to retire in with COVID happening and, and a lot of uncertainty at the time, but we landed on our feet here in El Dorado Hills.
